Sailor's Rest Vacation Rental is a large and comfortable, recently renovated house with an adjoining apartment that is available alone or with the main house. The main house is a split design and has a large master suite on one side which provides privacy from the three bedrooms and full bath on the other side. An additional single bed is available. The Sailor's Rest can comfortably accommodate 8 guests, 12 with the apartment.

The Master Suite is furnished with a king size bed and a twin size bed.  The king can be converted to two twins. There is plenty of room for a crib or to sit in the rocker and enjoy some quiet time.

The three bedrooms share a roomy, double sink bath.  Each room is decorated with luxurious linens and every detail has been attended to.  Bed arrangements include a room with one queen size bed, another with two twin size beds and a third with a single twin size bed.  

A light and airy living room equipped with cable TV and wireless modem access, adjoining dining room, and large kitchen make guests feel right at home.  

The kitchen is fully equipped and a built in dishwasher leaves more time for family fun.  A deck off the kitchen is where you'll find a gas grill and outdoor eating space and the large backyard is a nice area for play or relaxation.

A pack & play crib and a high chair are both available making Sailor's Rest comfortable for even the smallest guest.

The adjoining upstairs apartment is another option when more room is needed or can be rented independently for a smaller family or individual.  This lovely three room apartment has a private, outdoor entrance,  a full-size living room and grand window with view,  a galley kitchen, and bedroom with queen bed and full bath. The living room has a twin-size daybed and a twin-size pull out couch making this apartment ideal for up to four people.  Cable TV, DVD player, and Wireless Broadband computer connection keep you connected.  Cooking utensils and linens are provided and like the main house, this is a no-smoking space.

Located in a quiet neighborhood in downtown Homer, Sailor's Rest is convenient to Homer's downtown museum, galleries, cinema, night spots, and restaurants. With a view of the Kachemack Bay and Mountains, this is an ideal setting for families or groups who want easy access and extraordinary comfort.

The off-grounds caretaker will ensure any additional needs are addressed on your arrival. Outside smoking only please. Pets are welcome.

Activities (on site or nearby): Homer's famous Spit is only three minutes away. amazing Restaurants, The Pratt Museum and Islands and Ocean Lab are less than 2 minutes away. Nightspots and galleries are within walking distance. Hiking, biking, fishing, wildlife viewing, horseback riding, kayaking, shopping, live theater, cinemas, museums, sightseeing, boating, sailing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling and many other activities are close at hand.
